From April 16 to 19, the finals of the 2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition, hosted by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hunan Province, successfully concluded in Changsha, Hunan Province. With strong support and meticulous guidance from the university's Employment Guidance Center, Xu Tao, a student from Robot Class 2102 of the college, delivered a stable performance and won the Silver Award in the Higher Education Undergraduate Group of the Employment Track, achieving a breakthrough of zero awards for our college in this competition.

In the finals, Xu Tao set his career goal as a "Three-Electric System Engineer for New Energy Vehicles," closely centering on the national "Double Carbon" strategy and the development trends of the new energy vehicle industry. He showcased his practical experiences in competitions, scientific research, internships, etc., from three aspects: professional cognition, job competency, and development potential, and received 22 job offers from the enterprise selection panel on site. During his university years, as a core member of the university's Electric BAJA Racing Team, he started with the electric control system, gradually undertook the design, R&D, and testing of the three-electric system (motor, battery, electric control), led the development of key modules such as vehicle controllers, and guided the team to win multiple honors, including the National Championship of the BAJA Competition organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China. When talking about his future plans, Xu Tao stated that he will devote himself to the R&D field of new energy vehicles to contribute to the vigorous development of China's domestic new energy vehicle industry.

Since the launch of the 2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition in October 2024, the college has attached great importance to it, actively responded, and widely mobilized students. The participation rate of college students exceeded 90%, and the college was awarded the "Excellence in Organization Award" by the university. In the future, the college will continue to take the career planning competition as an opportunity to further strengthen career planning education and employment guidance, guide students to establish correct concepts of employment and career selection, achieve the goals of promoting learning, teaching, and employment through competitions, and help college students achieve high-quality employment.
